Chapter 13: I Won't Do It Again
It was already past eleven at night. Shops near the business district were closed, and only a few scattered people remained on the road, soon disappearing into the distance.
The streetlights cast a dim glow. The surroundings were so quiet that only the sound of the cold wind whistling past and the occasional roar of a speeding car could be heard. Cheng Xiaonuan sat huddled in an extremely uneasy posture in a corner outside a clothing store, his face buried between his knees. His thin body trembled slightly from the cold.
He seemed to have nowhere to go.
He hadn't brought his ID card when he left, so he couldn't stay at a hotel. It was so late, and there wasn't even a taxi in sight nearby.
When his phone rang, Cheng Xiaonuan thought he was dreaming. In a daze, he pulled out his phone, put it to his ear, and immediately heard a deep, angry voice.
"Where are you?"
Cheng Xiaonuan froze. Confirming he hadn't misheard, his already swollen and red eyes instantly filled with warmth. Tears suddenly fell as he whispered hoarsely, "A-Qing..."
"I asked where you are! Where the hell have you been so late?!" Shen Qingchen was extremely impatient.
Cheng Xiaonuan was frightened by his shout. Tears poured out even more fiercely as he timidly replied, "I... I don't know where I am..."
"Are there any landmark buildings nearby? Like the shape of a building, or a name?" Shen Qingchen suppressed his anger and asked.
"There are a lot of shops..." The little fool looked around. "B... but I don't know how to read..."
"Then take a picture with your phone and send it to me," Shen Qingchen said.
Cheng Xiaonuan sniffled, "My... my phone can't take pictures..."
Shen Qingchen then remembered: this idiot used a cheap, outdated flip phone, the kind that didn't even have a camera function.
"Damn it, so stupid and still daring to run around everywhere. Who gave you the courage?"
"Stay right there! Don't move!"
Cursing darkly, Shen Qingchen hung up.
He pulled some strings to have someone track the phone via satellite. Soon, he got Cheng Xiaonuan's exact location. About forty minutes later, the black Maybach stopped at the street corner.
Cheng Xiaonuan had sat on the ground too long; his legs were numb. His stomach, perhaps chilled and having eaten little, was cramping painfully again. Seeing the tall, imposing figure stride towards him angrily, he couldn't even manage to stand up properly.
Shen Qingchen stopped in front of him, looking down at him condescendingly, and snapped, "Not getting up? Do you really want to spend the night here?"
"I... I can't get up..." Cheng Xiaonuan looked up at him with a pale little face.
Shen Qingchen frowned, bent down, scooped him up horizontally, and walked coldly back to the car.
Cheng Xiaonuan obediently wrapped his arms around Shen Qingchen's neck, gazing at his sharp profile, and choked out softly, "A-Qing... I thought... you didn't want me anymore..."
"When did I ever say that."
Shen Qingchen opened the car door, placed him in the passenger seat, and fastened his seatbelt.
The ride home was very quiet. Cheng Xiaonuan held his nerves so tightly he barely dared to move. Shen Qingchen's anger was terrifying. Even though he felt unwell, he didn't dare say anything.
After the car drove into the villa's courtyard, Shen Qingchen said, "Sit still," and got out. He walked around, opened the passenger door, picked up Cheng Xiaonuan, and carried him straight upstairs.
His body was placed on the bed. When the other man leaned over and kissed him roughly, Cheng Xiaonuan realized what Shen Qingchen intended. After the kiss, panting heavily, he pushed against Shen Qingchen's firm chest, pleading tearfully.
"A-Qing, no..."
If Shen Qingchen had paid a little more attention, he would have noticed the little fool's face was already ghastly pale, even his lips were bloodless.
However, he just stared down at him intently, eyes burning with lust, and commanded imperiously.
"I want you."
The little fool could never refuse him, whether coaxed or threatened. He was utterly at Shen Qingchen's mercy.
This encounter was fueled by anger and release. Shen Qingchen's actions were rougher than usual. The little fool was tormented until his face turned deathly pale. After it was over, his stomach seemed to hurt even more.
He looked at Shen Qingchen's back and felt cold, but didn't dare go over and hug him. He just curled up on his side and asked softly.
"A-Qing... do you... like my brother very much?..."
Having fully released his pent-up frustration, Shen Qingchen was physically and mentally relaxed. However, he wasn't in the mood to deal with the man behind him. He pulled his own blanket up higher, closed his eyes, and said coldly.
"Mind your own business. Go to sleep."
"What happened today ends here. If you dare make me angry again in the future, it won't be so easily forgiven."
Cheng Xiaonuan's long eyelashes trembled. Fine beads of cold sweat dotted his temples. The pain made his already slow mind even more muddled. He instinctively apologized.
"S... sorry... I just... hadn't seen you for so long..."
"I... I'm so bored alone at home... no one to talk to... I was a little scared... couldn't help but go find you..."
"A-Qing, don't be angry... I won't do it again..."
He reached out, carefully tugging at the hem of Shen Qingchen's shirt.
